SHIPPING NOTES

  • Due to their size, weight, and other factors, Darryl’s engines are shipped via freight carrier, the cost of which is highly variable due to several variables, including demand, destination, and unloading requirements. Please contact us for a custom freight quote.

  • Due to shipping restrictions, all engines are shipped WITHOUT motor oil. Three or more (depending on the engine model) quarts of high-quality SAE 30 motor oil with zinc additive must be added to the engine before initial start-up.

TECH NOTES

  • On vehicles previously fitted with a generator, some modification to the wiring may be necessary due to the voltage regulator being located inside the alternator instead of elsewhere - like under the rear seat in a Beetle.

  • After the engine is installed, your mechanic must make final carburetor jetting and adjustments for proper operation in your local climate and elevation.
